London Bar, designed by architect Paul Stilling and Erik Jørgensen, is a stackable versatile bar stool, that fits in well in both the home and in larger office landscapes.
London is one of the truly cosmopolitan cities of the world. A melting pot of cultures and a flagship of modernity.
That’s the vibe the two famed Danish designers Erik Jørgensen and Paul Stilling set out to encapsulate with the London Bar Stool. And boy did they succeed.
The shaped veneer provides a simple, elegant and comfortable back rest, whilst the long legs look booth classy and airy – even when you place more stools side by side.
The real magic is in the seat, though. More specifically, the way the contrasting materials both stand out and blend together to form a striking look no matter the combination.
London Bar is nothing short of cosmopolitan class and a fine addition to Erik Jørgensen and Paul Stilling’s long list of accomplished works.
When Erik Jørgensen and Paul Stilling came together to design the London Bar Stool, they did so with a mission. To create something that would be equally unique and equally practical. Now, many years later, we’ve seen it used in thousands of different scenarios – none of which have looked inelegant. Mission accomplished.
The stool itself is actually quite simple. It’s the bent piece of veneer (classic Erik Jørgensen) paired with those long, beautiful legs that make whatever material you choose for the seat pop, and look absolutely stunning.
Because of its versatility, the London Bar Stool stands tall in any context. We’ve seen it used in both spacious office spaces and home kitchens with just-enough-space. Colours and materials can be combined in many ways, making sure you can fit this classic in anywhere.
