The Crumple Block Side Table is cast to look collapsed: the one material nobody associates with softness, poured into creases and folds as though the block had given way under its own weight. Because concrete is mixed and poured, its design potentials are almost infinite, and this is the piece that most clearly shows what it can do that steel and timber cannot. Cast in Natural Tone, Light Grey and Dark Grey concrete.

James De Wulf

James De Wulf established De Wulf Concrete, a small design operation creating avant-garde, concrete-couture for architects, interior decorators, commercial retail stores, and residential clients. Viesso was actually started in the same block and we were excited to see his brand grow the the continual evolvement of his products. They are truly unique and offer something special to the world of outdoor furniture. Recognized for his innovative work with custom concrete design, De Wulf quickly became known for his ability to combine advanced techniques of building along with sophisticated designs. His work has an edge to it, capturing the industrial elegance that is very rare.
