DimensionsW 36" · D 36" · H 30"

A chessboard poured in concrete, squares cast into the top rather than inlaid, at standing dining height so two people can play without sitting down.

The weight settles the argument about whether a games table is furniture. At a hundred and fifty pounds it is furniture, and the game is simply what the top is for.

Cast in Natural Tone, Light Grey and Dark Grey concrete.

James De Wulf Chess Table

The Chess Table pours the board in concrete, the squares cast into the top rather than inlaid, and stands it at dining height so two people can play without sitting down. The weight settles any question about whether a games table counts as furniture: at a hundred and fifty pounds it plainly is, and the game is simply what the top is for. Cast in Natural Tone, Light Grey and Dark Grey concrete.

Viesso was actually started in the same block and we were excited to see his brand grow the the continual evolvement of his products. They are truly unique and offer something special to the world of outdoor furniture. Recognized for his innovative work with custom concrete design, De Wulf quickly became known for his ability to combine advanced techniques of building along with sophisticated designs. His work has an edge to it, capturing the industrial elegance that is very rare.
