Goblins, Ghosts, & Great Halloween Decorations

When Halloween decorating ideas come to mind, we think of witches, pumpkins, monsters, bats, spiders, and all sorts of creepy crawlers. We think bright orange, purple, black, and neon green. And we think to ourselves how very much those ideas don’t exactly go with the modern home decor we love. Since skipping Halloween isn’t an option, we’ve found some classy Halloween decorating ideas.

Some favorite ideas include using typography. Halloween themed words spelled out via banners, blocks, or painted on pumpkins, make for ideal centerpieces or catchy wall art. Alternatively, filling frames with spooky photos is a sure fire hit. You can take out the regular pictures you keep in your frames, replacing them with thematic ones, or purchase several discounted frames and use them for the holiday. If you buy white frames, you can easily re-use them for many holidays. Another great idea is filling mason jars, or modern bowls or jars, with Halloween colored candy, or other treats. That way, there’s a burst of Halloween color added to your space, without any gaudy decorations, plus there’s a sweet treat within reach.

How do you decorate for Halloween? Do you keep things simple, modern, and classic, or veer more toward the over-the-top, extravagant, bright and bold Halloween decorations? Let us know in the comments, on twitter, or on Facebook. Happy Halloween!
