What Happens When A Lima Bean Factory Goes Glam

Sometimes you stumble across images of the interior of a building and find yourself swooning over it in a matter of seconds. This is what happened to us when we saw photos of the SND CYN co-working space. Call it love at first sight, call it a masterpiece, call it anything you want – we can’t get enough.

Graphic designer Ty Mattson has taken this former lima bean factory in Irvine, CA and turned it into a place where creatives of all types can come together to work, have meetings, bounce ideas off of each other and spend time moving their business forward while getting inspired.

We got inspired just looking at the photos and found ourselves imagining some of our beloved items getting to live in such a magical place.

We can totally see the Workshop Cage Lamp from Roost hanging around (yep, we went there) this restored factory. Available in three varying sizes, this lighting option provides an old school feel with a modern twist.

We also can’t help but picture the Greenwich Sideboard from Modloft in Mattson’s newly created space. Not only is it visually stunning, but this piece provides amble storage space, which is definitely needed when so many people are sharing one space.

With so much of Mattson’s work rooted in Typography, we think the 745 NY rug via HZL by Henzel would fit right in. With so much artwork and typography on the walls, why not add some to the floor? Inspiration would be waiting in every direction that you look!

What do you think about co-working spaces? Would you work in this one? We’re crossing our fingers to get down to Irvine soon to check it out in person. Leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
