Wave Side Chair
Sometimes a piece evolves from a place you don’t expect. That’s the story of the Wave chair: designed around the Wave Shelf motif, which itself was born from the ashes of a curved low stand. Sometimes a piece takes many iterations and dozens of tossed ideas, sometimes (and very rarely), you go straight from sketch to final piece. This is one of those rare cases where a piece went almost straight from sketch to final drawing - after we designed the Wave shelf, the wave motif went into a sketch of a chair leg and then right into production drawing. Of course there’s prototyping, testing, engineering, etc, but ehh: details, details.
